It is now official.

Who seriously gets to do this?

Who seriously gets to do this? I always ask this question. Zack gets a little annoyed with me at times. I guess I ask that question a little too much. But really, why were we chosen to build this home? Why us? Its not like we always dreamed of building a custom home. People always question "WHY" would the Kalters build such a BIG home when their kids are grown?

We don't know!

It started with one idea.

Lets build a destination home. But what is that? God began to slowly show us. We just began to move forward. When we began this project our State wasn't in the trouble we are in now. We had a different President then. Things didn't seem too scary then but now things are beginning to change so fast. We just trust that God is leading us in this project and do good with it. What that is I am sure He will show us. But in the mean time we stand firm in our beliefs. We do what is right and true and good. And we listen. Please pray for us as we get closer to completing this "Home with a Vision". Because really I am not sure as to what we are suppose to do but I do know that with God it will be an adventure!

Its up for "Sale"!

Our home for almost 20 years goes up for sale tomorrow. Wow! I just can't believe this is really happening. It seemed for so long that we were just dreaming and working on a little project over there in Chino Hills but...this is really going to happen. We are now in the home stretch. Our new home is going into the drywall and paining stage so things are happening fast. It really is beginning to look like a real home now. I'm beginning to meet with drapery ladies. The tile is selected. The wood is chosen. Our carpet (what little we have) is super cute. Appliances are ordered. Doors are just about to arrive and be installed. How did this happen? Time is really going by fast. This will most likely be the home we live in until the end of our lives. Pala Mesa Drive was a great place to raise our children. To make memories that will last a lifetime. We've shared our home with family and friends and had great times here. But as we move forward we don't look back we just look forward to the future. We are not here for long. We are only passing through. We were made for a better place. I can only imagine what our next home will be like. Its being prepared for us right now!

Its beginning to look cleaner

This is the Empress Dining Room! It doesn't look like much now but it will. The walls will be pained and the floor will have the wood floor installed. The finisher will come in and begin all the wood work. I think I'm going to enjoy this room. Christa and I are going to put on "Tea" Party's. Yep this is going to be fun!
